There are multiple ways to set up your hammock using the Zipper Hammock Hanging System. Below, we explain the two main ways we set up our hammocks to make hanging your hammock fast and easy. It takes less than 1 minute and
Watch the gif above to see how quickly the system can be assembled!
Two main ways to attach your hammock to the Zipper Buckle
1. THE GIRTH HITCH
The girth hitch is a simple knot that makes hammocking easy with the Zipper Hammock Hanging System. All you need to do is tie a girth hitch around the buckle with your hammock’s paracord. You can leave the hammock attached to the system when you store it, which makes setting it up that much easier the next time!
2. THE STANDARD CARABINER
You can use a carabiner to attach the buckle to your hammock. This is a convenient way to hang your hammock, saving you time and energy. The aluminum buckle has a round hole that will fit most carabiners. This makes this method of attaching your hammock to the hanging system easy to use.
See the steps below to learn how to tie the Girth Hitch.
Take paracord loop on hammock, pinch it towards the end to make a small loop. Then insert up through the hole on the buckle.
Open up the pinched loop and bring it over the top of the buckle and down the back towards the bottom of the buckle.
Make sure the paracord is lining up nicely and pull tight. Then you are ready to attach the webbing to the buckle.
